I hit a parked car without insurance. What will the insurance agency do?
I was driving my moms car, which I don’t have insurance under, although I do have my own insurance with other cars I own. Even though it was only about $100 worth of damage to the car I hit, they decided to get insurance involved anyways. Will their insurance agency need my insurance, or my moms insurance? If they need my moms insurance, will her insurance go up? I don’t want my mom being punished for something I did.
I want to settle it out of pocket, but it was the people I hit who decided to go through insurance anyways.
Normally it doesn’t matter who is driving, but who the vehicle is insured through.
If I were you, I’d try to settle out of pocket especially if the police were not present.
