Career Insurance Industry

How good is life insurance and health career agent, would it be a good choice?
Hello, I was a mortgage broker for 5 years and at one point took me almost 6-figure income. At this moment things are not so great and my income took a significant drop this year. Am thinking about getting my insurance license, but then again I'm not sure if I would make very good money in it, as the mortgage industry. This would be something new for me and not I'm sure if it's worth, although many agents say it is so large and are the earnings are through the roof, not sure if that's true or just hype?
It truth. You can make a ton of this industry. Of course, everyone will say you make great money – once said: "My income is in the crapper with this business! "The reason people wash out of this business is the same reason, mortgage brokers wash – bad prospecting and no one to see. If they were successful in other type of financial sales, the sale of complex intangible products to people, you will do very well in the insurance business. I think you will find some customer confidence most of the stick. After being in the mortgage industry for a year I was in insurance, where I've been for four years, and I felt a little more prestige. Perhaps was all in my mind. Ah, of course, find one or two lines you enjoy and make your niche. I focus on health insurance and annuities. I can do cross-sell life, disability and long-term care, but if you do too you will spread too thin. Products and regulations change so quickly is hard to become an expert on all these products, especially for me because I represent six companies. I would definitely start in a place like the Northwest Mutual, MetLife, New York Life, or New England Financial before going independent. They have a great training and support programs for you as you learn the business. You'll also be the advantage of learning from the best producers making joint appointments. Good luck to you.
