Cars Insurance Auction

If I buy a car at auction, what do I have to do to drive away legally?
I am thinking of buying a used car from an auction. If I win the bid and pay for it that day how I can get away from the auction house? What would I do for a plate and insurance?
They may have notaries on site to sign the title over and issue plates. Callthe auction house and ask them to be sure.
