Can I change my mind about a car insurance settlement?
I’ve agreed to a settlement from my car insurance company (Swiftcover) after being involved in an accident that was not my fault.However they have been unable to trace the other driver, so I’ve had to pay my excess of £450. They offered me a settlement of £800 minus the excess which leaves me with £350, and which I agreed to. When I received the paperwork it said the remainder of my premiums would also be deducted, which is £483, meaning I will end up owing them money for accepting this settlement.
Is it possible to still decline the settlement, cancel the claim, and cancel my policy? What would be the best course of action?

If you cancel the policy, you still owe them money, as I guess you paying monthly, it was a loan from the start and you are paying it back.
