Is it worth having private health insurance, if I have a child in Ireland and is a waste of money?
I have the hope of having a baby in the next year or so, but I do not have private health insurance.I was quoted € 700 for a policy that would pay more than two years before I would be eligible for maternity cover. I'm in my 30's to not want to wait two years before you start trying to get pregnant. Would not it be Cheap "pay-as-I-go? And where to go for advice clear? Help!
if you go as a public patient prenatal care, childbirth, postnatal care, more medical visits during their pregnancy and until six weeks after delivery will be paid by the health service. my sister was deprived of his first son and she had no prenatal care better than me, she was in the same room as public patients and their next three pregnancies was as a public patient from get exactly the same attention. the only difference is that as a private patient he saw his consultant at each hospital visit, whereas when you go public only Commission to see if there is a problem with the pregnancy or have a high risk pregnancy. Maternity public services are free in Ireland and you lose your money if you just took out medical insurance to cover maternity. but it would be nice to have health insurance anyway for other health problems and hospitalization can have in the future …
