Are employers in some states should have disability insurance?
Some states like New York have disability insurance that is intended to absence of labor with pregnancy and childbirth is covered 6-8 weeks of paid leave immediately before or after birth (longer if complications arise). However, there are employers in the State of New York, REQUIRED by law to have insurance or is it optional? And if I know that companies must provide a draft Worker, but I am interested in the extent to which employers are required to provide maternity benefits outside the FMLA. Thanks
Requirements vary by state. They can also vary by the number of employees who are in the business. This is a small business can not be required to have disability coverage, but a company with many employees might be required to have it.
