Is a dead doctor practices? Does anyone have a family doctor or pediatrician who is not part of a 'clinic'?

When I was a kid, growing up in a medium to large sized city, our doctor ran his office with the help of two or three nurses and a receptionist. Fast forward few decades, and I know of no physician who has such a practice in itself. My current family doctor, whom I am happy, is part of a company medical partners has about a dozen doctors. I only see what I have an appointment. There is a clinic in the strictest sense. But I wonder if someone goes to a doctor that is not part of a larger group these days? Judging from my region of the country, a doctor for an office seems an irrelevance. Related: Does anyone know if there is some incentive to join a group if you are a new doctor, besides money? The insurance companies have forced this kind of setting common medical companies?

You are right. I think the cost of liability insurance has forced this issue. But, I think this is better because this way, other doctors will be covered by your doctor when he / she is absent and to access their files.
