New stimulus package to include billions of health insurance
Recovery next year will include major investments in health care and reform of health insurance, according to the Washington Post. This module could exceed 500 billion dollars. There is a large financial health of certain programs care assistance provided to receive a financial boost key. The following programs:
The success of SCHIP State Child Health Insurance Medical Program play an important role in the next plan of health reform. SCHIP has been widely considered a great success, but expensive, program that children receive health insurance they need. Since Congress has supported the expansion of SCHIP to include more children, and it seems to happen to Obama.
COBRA U.S. Representative Pete Stark of California is requesting an extension of COBRA allowing the unemployed to keep health insurance coverage from your former employer group. But because COBRA coverage is expensive, MP Stark offers grants to help unemployed workers pay for the plan.
The coverage of the federal Medicaid health care for Low-income Americans is expected to receive up to 40 billion dollars over the next two years as part of stimulus plan Obama.
One goal of the Obama campaign was to simplify the process by automating medical records on computers. The stimulus package likely with at least $ 10 million in assistance to providers and health care institutions to implement the plan. When the bill is before Congress, not sure there is much debate on its final content.

Reduction of COBRA premium (ARRA) can only be described the charge and get the discount policy?
My husband and I received a letter from COBRA under the new Obama law approved in February 2009. My husband does not care about insurance, but I do Ceridian called and told me and my policies are right would be about $ 150 a month (with discount). I just shows the $ 431 bill per month and called back. They said they did not qualify for the discount because my husband was the one fired, not me. But I was in politics when he was fired, and am currently unemployed and without insurance (my office had no health plan). Are they right? Does anyone know what can I do? or know whether the new law allows me to get the discount for myself? Thanks Thanks for your response, however, in my case the primary beneficiary is my husband and he does not want insurance. I wonder if only to me (as a spouse) qualify for the discount. They process my application, but did not give me the reduction. I can not pay full price
There http://www.dol.gov/ebsa/faqs/faq-cobra-premiumreductionEE.html is great confusion in this area. Question 20 appears to support their case. Q20: Only part of my family elected COBRA coverage, but all were eligible. I enroll others and take advantage of the reduction in premium? Each COBRA qualified beneficiary may independently elect COBRA coverage. Moreover, even if a family members are not elected COBRA coverage when first eligible, if the individual is a person eligible for assistance (except for their lack of choice of COBRA coverage first eligible or at least, because he or she stopped before COBRA coverage February 17, 2009), that person gets a second chance to register and benefit from the reduction in premium. See FAQ # 3 and # 6 above for more information.
