Commercial Insurance Associates

Is it legal to start a private room for no benefit? What you need licenses and insurance?
I'm interested in getting as freinds up togeather nessasary to split the cost of hiring aa trade or commercial building, along with the purchase of a pair pooltable and other things associated with a living and what is a cooperative not for profit place to hang out I courius if any body can tell me if this is possible without going through all the legal garbage buissness normally associated with the onset a benefit to the company? thanks for the info i do not mean a nonprofit in traditional thinking, I do not mean to try to make money just collecting the monthly fees say just enough to pay the bills would only be a few friends with a fun place for everyone with an equal monthly payment to keep it going.
It possible, but not without going through all the garbage of legal acts – in fact, is, if anything, more paperwork and documentation necessary to start and run a nonprofit a regular activity. For more information, I suggest you take a look at the website of Small Business Administration and check http://www.sba.gov out the requirements for both.
