Human Rights Watch against Wal-Mart?
Recently, Human Rights Watch spoke out against Wal-Mart alleging that the retailer "abuses" to their employees. Now, I understand that some people do not like Wal-Mart, for various reasons … but with the horrible atrocities happening in Darfur, Nigeria, North Korea and other places, not Human Rights Watch have more important things to worry about Wal-Mart? Only a few facts about Wal-Mart:> Most of the stores that Wal-Mart open to any part of 5000 to 20.000 job applications to fill an average of 400 jobs.> Wal-Mart gives millions of dollars annually to charity and development various community groups> Wal-Mart does not provide nearly 45% of its employees with health insurance … but most of those are part-time employees who work only 15-20 hours a week do not want to beat the drum too loudly for Wal-Mart so tell me what you think about this issue. Is it justified Human Rights Watch criticizm in Wal-Mart or are simply buying into the enemy "Wal-Mart" hype?
I think Wal-Mart should not be so bad a place to work because they never seem to have trouble finding employees. Here is the capitalism works like this: two people enter into a contract because it is mutually beneficial for all parties involved. Sure, a person can be treated better than someone else, but they're both agreeing with each other because they are the best option. Wal-Mart comes in small cities unemployment is high. These people have no better options, so they are all lining up to work at Wal-Mart. Why we're all getting worked up that people who were unemployed for five months now have stable employment? I totally agree with you – people are dying of genocide, disease and hunger around the world. Those who hate Wal-Mart complain that their employees can not afford to pay rent and a cell phone and have to get a second job. Do you know how desperate Some people outside the United States are to have even a job? If they had done a job that pays even a tenth as much as Wal-Mart, which could be able to eat every day.
