Employment Insurance Canada

Full-time students who receive Employment Insurance benefits in Canada, to seek employment?
They are full-time college students, should continue to seek opportunities for full or part time employment in order to continue receiving their regular attendance, won for employment insurance benefits (Canada)? Although technically, the working time may appear to be available (other than the time actually spent in lectures) – time to read, study and complete work has not into consideration. I would say this is frictional unemployment, and the student is on a course of instruction (though not referred by a human resource center, etc) to get more skills. Does anyone know the government's stance / position on this issue? thanks ..
I'm not sure what you mean … mean is a college student who is receiving funding through the Employment Insurance (Skills Development) to go to school to try to find a job? Or does it mean that students who attend college have been paid at the bottom of the IE previously in jobs and then after school it can not be used by the insured hours from previous jobs? If you are in education funded through Capacity Building, is a way is required to be filled in to indicate the hours at school and what the hours are not available because it is study time. They understand that you need that time for studying. That is taken into consideration. However, when you apply for funding initially, they do see their economic situation and see what their "training allowance" will be. (Payments of IE in the background but can be decreased or increased to the maximum. $ 413 per week) Sometimes people are asked to contribute themselves, besides what the government will pay through the Skills Development. (You need to have a minimum of 15 hours lesson per week to qualify for any financing that may be available) If you leave employment voluntarily to go to school, you usually do not qualify for EI. (With some exceptions) also can not go to school and pick up the IE unless it is approved by Skills Development. (Employment Insurance is a federal program, Development Skills is administered by the provinces) of the IE was launched to facilitate short-term assistance for those who have lost their jobs for good cause. Leave work to upgrade is questionable and so should be judged by an agent to see if the hours that the work could be used towards the hours secured by IE. While may make sense for you to update, which is not the purpose of EI. In their eyes, they have left the employment of their own volition. The purpose of EI is to help people who have lost their jobs until they can rejoin the workforce.
