Death Intestate – how long does the procedure take and what happens to property etc.?
Searching for relatives, what happens to property if the person died 5 years ago, is it left empty, just what is the procedure and how long doe it take. Then how long does the insurance company take to sort out if they will insure against any other persons coming forward.
When a person died intestate the authority will step-in and do the tracing of next-of-kins of the demised. They have upto 7 years to do so failing which the money will be transfer to the State. Same goes for insurance.
