What is the normal life of Computer’s HDD, Mother board, Central Processor etc?
According to one Indian General Insurance Company’s basis of indemnity “No deduction will be made for depreciation in respect of parts replaced , except those with limited life”. Whenever a claim is made the company using the “limited life” clause to reduce depreciation on parts replaced. Recently thay said that the limited life of 40GB HDD is 3.5 years. So I wish to know the normal life of HDD, Mother board, P4 Processor etc.
It depends on how you use it and wether you do the maintanace on it
