Bartlett not vote on the bill of health

U.S. Representative Roscoe Bartlett has been a lot of people who come to thank him for his vote on events health of veterans this week.

Bartlett, a Frederick Republican, voted Saturday against the project "Democratic unbelievable Act health care, "as he calls on his site.

He is now in the Senate to decide whether to pass the House version, kick or a different version of the back.

Bartlett without voting expected. In a telephone town hall in August, was clear in his opposition.

I asked Bartlett spokeswoman Lisa Wright had they received a reaction to the vote and said the congressman has been closed gratitude and FSK in Hagerstown American Legion Post 11 in Frederick, when he attended events of Veterans Day.

Bartlett has also received support in the days before the vote. When speaking to a group of conservatives rally against the project, he began a minutelong "no, no, not singing.

However, I suspect that the votes of healthcare will be the winner in the 2010 elections.

Robert Kresslein, Frederick County Democratic Central Committee Chair, which connects with another vote, unpopular, against expanding the Children's Health Insurance Program State.

"So I suppose it is natural that they would be responding to the concerns of parents," said Kresslein.

He painted the vote as compared with health care affordable, and has criticized the terms of nine incumbents, and Republicans in general, not to act on health care, then they were the majority party in Congress.

This attack was shared by members of Health Care of Maryland for America Now, a group of unions and progressive groups. The group sent an e-mail criticizing Bartlett vote, saying it belongs to "the party of no.

We will see if any of these criticisms can damage the owner, chairman of the Republican Central Committee Kelly Schulz, said he thought that his views are representative of the largely conservative area.

Bartlett violated 'Daily Show'

Speaking of views Bartlett on health care have gained some national attention Program satirical Comedy Central's "The Daily Show."

Host Jon Stewart played a clip of Bartlett speaking at the Whole House on how the bill unfairly penalizes communities Amish Mennonites, who do not purchase health insurance.

He said one element called Mennonites, prompting Stewart to whether it was a joke, because the Amish do not make phone calls.

Wright sent me an article on how Many Amish people use phones and the technology is permitted in moderation. For example, some people stands outside their home and others have cell phones they use for commercial purposes.

She said Stewart was "built in wrong century "on his impressions of the community.

"The Amish do not buy health insurance and do not cost money taxpayers or the Mennonites, "said Wright.

However, I have a smile when Stewart said that the Amish would probably lose the opportunity his jokes, if not watch television.
