Indemnity Health Insurance

A compensation of traditional health insurance plan or managed care plan?

For many years people felt they were caught between a traditional indemnity health (A wide range of choice and the high level of safety in case of accident or illness grave, which came at a high price) and a managed care plan (emphasis on prevention medicine at relatively low), but with very limited choice.

Today, however, it is possible to some extent, to enjoy the benefits of liability insurance, both traditional and managed> Health through a variation of the original Maintenance Organization (HMO) model, known as Provider Organization Preferred (PPO). href = "http://www.healthplan.pannipa.com/2009/09/a-traditional-indemnity-health-insurance-plan-or-a-managed-care-plan/"> http://www.healthplan .pannipa.com/2009/09/a-traditional-indemnity-health-insurance-plan-or-a-managed-care-plan /

A PPO is essentially an HMO which means that the insurance company a network of health professionals must and will be built in exchange for a relatively low cost, encouraged, or required in some cases, policyholders to treatment in the network health insurance for the search. If treatment outside the HMO network taken much, if not all, the cost of such treatment is normally the responsibility of the policyholder. However, is relaxed in the case of PPO, the rules for seeking the care of insured persons, outside the HMO network.

Within an HMO, a holder of a specific doctor or general practitioner (often called a "guardian") and the policyholder must go through the family doctor for treatment. For example, if the policyholder want to see a specialist then he or shemust by the family doctor and can not have a voice in the specialty, they are called.

In a PPO, however, no doctor is assigned, so that no reference is required. Policyholders should, therefore, free to choose, so seeking treatment by a specialist, not a member HMO network.

There are also implications for the cost of that choice, and the insured is almost certainly pay more forTreatment with a physician or in a facility, HMO's network is out there, than it would if they sought treatment within the network. However, unlike the model HMO, insured PPO gives the election. href = "http://www.healthplan.pannipa.com/2009/09/a-traditional-indemnity-health-insurance-plan-or-a-managed-care-plan/"> http://www.healthplan .pannipa.com/2009/09/a-traditional-indemnity-health-insurance-plan-or-a-managed-care -Plan /
