Insurance Services Office Inc Pre-Survey Info request for water supply for fire suppression?
I have been tasked with trying to figure out how to fill out this pre-survey and I am pretty lost on where to get the info or how it is even set up. Does anyone know of anywhere on the internet i can find a walk though on exactly what they are looking for or maybe belong to a department that has done this before and can give me a past survey to look at to get a better picture on how to complete this.
Are you the agent, or the insured trying to fill out the application? If you are the insured, your agent should be doing this for you. If they can’t, you need a new agent.
This information should be part of the ISO risk file. Looks like they’re coming out to do the survey. The water supply for fire suppression information, would be available at your local fire department, or building ordinance office.
Typical answers would be: local well, city water, lake access (with distance from lake), and for protection class 6 – 10, local fire department truck types (pumper truck, capacity, etc.)
