Life Insurance Annuity Policy

a nursing home can freeze my bank accounts and funds Mutal?
I just received a bill for more than $ 50,000.00 from the nursing home that my mother was in 7 months and died a few months ago. My mother left me back excutor to be in 1999. had given him power to a friend of his church, for about 2 years and also had a power of attorney for health care, leaving other 2 friends of his church as advisors. died penniless, bank accounts, annuities., life insurance policies or any property. gave money to his church before entering nursing home. I called the local surragate court and said that if he had no bank accounts, etc. do not have to submit their will, and had no money. in 1982, a neighbor of mine committed suicide after his assets were confiscated by the nursing home and lost home and all their accounts were frozen. please help with advice.
Until you sign any paper saying that would be responsible for their accounts of the mothers then there is nothing they can do. Send the bill back on it and note that his mother had no assets. When my father died and left nothing, I sent all invoices of return, return to sender, died.
