Once you are an adult and can be smart enough with some adult themes by reading?

I am 28 and i dont know m any things than other Americans my age about knkow. Like taxes, mortgages, loans, insurance … also cars, laws, elections, do not know why, but as a shy guy my whole life, these kinds of issues do not sink much they never hear about them, or even if I deal with them. My vocab is limited in speech, so it is also limited in reading. So I have trouble understanding these issues if I were to listen someone or read about it. I Faling in life because of this .. And like I said taking classes does not help .. because usually in school instructors speak as if talking to normal adults. I'm not normal. I'm slow and I can not understand things quickly. So what to do? Can I learn enough of reading things and using a dictionary. Sometimes I even have trouble understanding what the dictionary says

Where I live there are books and even news programs that are made to be easy to understand. Explain things as clearly as possible, without complicating things and use words that are easier to understand. I do not know these things in America, but I think the U.S. be an exception. You could ask your librarian if you have books or newspapers. I think the first thought was that the issues of daily living (such as taxes, lending laws) clear to immigrants still learning the language, but then realized that it was helpful for people with learning disabilities. You can learn a lot of reading for their own and using the dictionary. You can also improve the understanding of what you read, if you work at it as a fun project and let go of concerns. You can also use the Internet to find pages on the topic that interests you is easier to learn if there are no pictures or something that is easy to remember. Good Luck!
