How long does it take for nicotine to get out of a persons system?

I am asking this question because I am considering buying life insurance, and they ask if I am a smoker…I think they will ask for a physical exam, and will check for nicotine content…I noticed that if you are a non-smoker, the premiums are considerably lower.

I think it’s half life is a day. So three half lives for it not to show up, gud luck
