Life Insurance Online Calculator
Is this really possible? Mutual funds versus whole life insurance?
I understand that the investment linked life offered yields very little in comparison with actual investments such as mutual funds. Now I tried this line http://www.math.com/students/calculators/source/compound.htm compound calculator to see if investment funds actually can exceed safe "investments." I placed the following on the calculator: Years: 40 Percent Yield: 12% Initial Balance: $ 500 Monthly Contribution: $ 100 Final Balance: $ 1,235,801.11 This data is realistic in mutual funds? If so, then sure beats what it offers life insurance and that the saying "Buy term invest the difference" is true. So these figures are realistic or something wrong with the calculator:)?
No, not too realistic. 8-10% is what we really expected. Call by 9%. $ 486,000.
