Supplemental health insurance benefit taxable?

I Conseco Supplemental Health Insurance, such as cancer insurance, heart / accident insurance stroke and accidental injury insurance. Do the benefits (money) paid directly to me from this treatment as income? my medical expenses for this year is well above the 7.5% of gross income benefits are paid by my major medical insurance (Blue Shield). So I would have to make a deduction of my income. However, I heard the supplementary insurance benefits are as life insurance payments are not treated as taxable income, so there is no need to declare the benefit as income. Of course, while he could not declare the premium paid for me to buy supplemental health insurance as an expense either. Please help.

I think it is just like any other health insurance … medical expenses, the premiums are deductible from the profits and reduce your out of pocket expenses med … the difference should be deductible to the extent that it exceeds 7.5% of your adjusted gross income.
