Life Insurance Selling
MetLife AIG to buy American Life Insurance Co., American International Group Inc. said Monday it will sell its division of American Life Insurance Co. by 15.5 billion U.S. dollars for MetLife Inc. The agreement approved by the government, secondly the sale of large AIG assets in two weeks, will give the insurer more money to pay the ransom of billions of dollars still owed the government.
