can i take a home loan from a different city?
Hi,
I am looking to buy a house in Kolkata (out-skirts). I currently live in gurgaon. The private banks here are saying that they cannot give the loan in that location. However, I know that banks like sbi, Overseas bank source the loans there. so when i went there i was told to contact the kolkatta bbranch instead of the ones in gurgaon. can i get a loan in a kolkatta branch even if i am residing in gurgaon?
not necessary that you should live in kolkotta only or work in kolkattaonly to get a loan for a house in kolkatta.In this case that is working in gurgaon it is near delhi i suppose and getting a loan in kolkatta The problem is inspection . Even before sanctioning a pre sanction inspection is necessary and periodical inspection at least once in two years is a must until the repayment is fully over that is may be upto 20 years imagine the costs of inspection and time taken.So it will be better to contact a branch in kolkatta it will be easier for the to have periodical inspection But they may need to verification of your residential identity and income proof verification that too only once before sanction it can be easily done by them and it will be better for any bank branch at kolkatta to handle the case more effectiv ely or conveniently understand?
