Should I go through my own insurance policy or with the other drivers?
So somebody hit my car today. It was stationary outside my house and the guy came straight to our door to tell us. I think both cars will be wrote off but they have not yet been collected. I contacted my insurer and he contacted his and admitted full liability. Should I go through my own or with his? Im with swift cover, he’s with churchill. Im tempted to go through his as they said I will get a courtesy car and get my car taken to a garage tomorrow, mine said it will take around a week to arrange a courtesy car and car removed on weds. However, will his insurers try and fob me off with a smaller payout?
His insurance company will cover the damages. Weather his insurance tries to low-ball you remains to be seem, but remember – YOU DON’T SIGN ANYTHING. Your insurance guy will be helpful in making sure you get a fair deal.
