Golf Business Plan for 2009. Any plans?

Enter the last two months of 2008, the club should be well on its way if not completed with its business plan for 2009. However, I think clubs in many cases have not yet begun. When asked why the plan has not started, I heard a litany of funny answers, excuses made baseless. A sample of comments include:

  • We can not start a new budget when we have final figures for 2008.
  • We have not decided what to do with our operation in the offseason.

  • We are afraid of what might seem.
  • We tried this before and do not help us.

Reality is that many clubs either lack the skills, commitment, discipline, or the desire to develop a plan. Planning is working! Hard work! But as while another job well done, it offers great advantages.

5. Payroll Planning
